Yeerongpilly Green, Brisbane, QLD

Yeerongpilly Green is a new urban village that will continue its development well into the next decade as a modern mixed-use lifestyle precinct. The site will become the home for 1,200 environmentally sustainable residential apartments, boutique shopping and dining spaces, a supermarket, adjacent to speciality stores and a 103-room boutique hotel. Yeerongpilly Green is also set to revitalise one of Queensland’s most popular training circuits for cyclists, the iconic Brisbane River Loop.

Project Design Brief

Designers wanted to create pedestrian and cycle friendly paths along the precinct’s boutique coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Along these paths, cable pits needed to be positioned along the cables routes for the site’s power, communications, CCTV and lighting infrastructure. For future expansion, pits needed to be easily accessible. All access covers along the paths required to be foot friendly, bicycle safe and strong enough to cater for service vehicles.
