Parramatta Square, Parramatta, NSW

Parramatta has seen significant and sustained growth over a number of years to become Sydney’s second CBD. Parramatta Square marks the transformation of the city centre into a precinct that is bustling with commerce and culture. The multi-staged project involves spectacular architecture and open public spaces with seamless integration into transport hubs.

Project Design Brief

With a significant increase in electrical and communications infrastructure, designers did not want the pavement aesthetics to be compromised by unsightly cable enclosures. Designers required different size enclosures from small jointing and drawing pits, to large access chambers for sub-stations.

ACO's Solution

  • Six-part Rhinocast® decorative edge recessed access covers

  • 40mm stainless steel decorative edges provide a uniform, aesthetic finish
  • The decorative edge allowed covers to be filled with a variety of pavement finishes to blend seamlessly with the surrounding pavers
  • All covers are designed to meet Load Class B (AS 3996)
